I've always had good hearing. When I was younger my mom took me to an audiologist to get it tested for some reason or other, and I can still remember him telling her that it's actually better than average. But about a year ago it just seemed to get even better, and suddenly I was hearing people chew on the other side of the room. It wasn't so bad at first, but something happened and the sound of people chewing or swallowing started making me feel inexplicably angry and I couldn't control it and I often ended up lashing out because of it. So I'm writing my final science exam tomorrow and I haven't even started studying for it yet because every time I look at my notes I just kind of think, why even try, I'm gonna fail anyway. This is what I get for listening to my Dad and taking a subject I didn't want to take in the first place.
